Seven Star Praying Mantis

Seven Star Praying Mantis was developed over 350 years ago in Northern China. It is descendent from the famous Shaolin Temple and includes the best techniques from eighteen styles of Kung Fu.

Although this style is known for its lightning quick hand techniques it also covers all ranges of self defence from kicking, punching, trapping, grappling, sweeps and throws etc. The system also contains over fifteen traditional Shaolin weapons, Lion Dancing and eighteen Lorhan Chi Gung, making it one of the most complete Kung Fu systems available.

The Moi Fa Chinese Boxing Academy follows Sifu Derek Frearson and Grand Master Lee Kam Wing of Hong Kong in the traditional Seven Star Praying Mantis. Sifu Lee Kam Wing is famous throughout the world for his Kung Fu. Sifu David Graham is continually refining his knowledge and skill under Sifu Frearson and Sifu Lee Kam Wing.

Wing Chun

Wing Chun is a unique martial art which has it's origins in Southern China over 350 years ago.

Wing Chun is a very concise system, which can be learned in a relatively quick time, and can be used by everyone regardless of age or physical ability.

The main theory is to use minimum energy to have maximum effect. This system is unique due to the fact that the art was studied by Bruce Lee, but also legend has it that the style was developed by a woman.

CHI GUNG

Chi Gung and Tai Chi are powerful but gentle forms of exercise that anyone can practice irrespective of age or gender and is ideal for both the body and the mind.

Chi Gung is one of the great legacy of the Chinese people. The graceful movements of Chi Gung and Tai Chi will increase suppleness, coordination, concentration, and at the same time relieve tension and stresses of a busy day.

Sanda(Chinese Kick Boxing)

Sanda is the modern counterpart to traditional Kung Fu training allowing students to put their new found skills to the test in a safe but combative way in the ring.

Sanda combines all the best techniques from punching, high and low kicking, and throwing techniques allowing participants to train in all ranges of combat.

Students have the option to train in full or semi contact sparring with the opportunity of entering national competitions.
